PAYMENTS
Full payment for products must be made at the time of purchase, except in the event of Lay-bys and pre production orders, in which case we require a deposit with the payment of the balance at a later time, but in any event full payment must be received by French & English prior to delivery being arranged. We accept all major credit cards (a surcharge applies when paying by American Express), cash, electronic transfers and cheque payments. We allow 5 working days for a cheque to be cleared before releasing the goods/arranging delivery. French & English reserves the right to cancel any sales with an outstanding balance.
 

 
ONLINE SHOPPING 

Please call one of our stores to organise payment over the phone. The products listed online do not include delivery fees. You will be quoted a delivery fee before payment will be accepted. We try to be as accurate as possible when describing our products and services online, however, to the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not warrant that the product or service descriptions, colours, images and content available on our site are accurate, complete, reliable, current or error-free.
Due to the nature of timbers & some fabrications, there will be slight variations between display stock and production stock. We will not refund items due to slight variations.
 
 
LAY-BYS
We require a 25% deposit for lay-by items. The customer has a maximum period of 6 weeks from the date of the first payment to pay for the item in full. After the item has been paid in full it is the responbility of the customer to have the product collected or organise delivery. If the customer decides to cancel a lay-by purchase at any time, there will be 25% of the total purchase restocking fee. We do not accept lay-bys on sale or floor stock items. French & English reserves the right to cancel any sales with an outstanding balance beyond the 6 weeks maximum period.
 
 
LOYALTY DISCOUNTS
We offer an exclusive discount structure to our loyal customers. Please contact us to find out more about our discount policy.
 
 
TRADE CUSTOMER DISCOUNT
We offer a special discount for trade customers. We require an ABN & a business card identification to be produced before any discounts will be applied. Please contact us to find out more about our trade customer discount policy.
 
 
DELIVERY FEES
Delivery charges and estimated times will depend on where your product is being delivered & the size of the order. You must ensure correct delivery address details are provided to us. We shall use all reasonable endeavours to meet the delivery date on the nominated day, however you agree that French and English is not and will not be liable for any loss or damage, however it arises, if the products are not delivered by the delivery date. Products will only be delivered if a person is present at the delivery. If no one is home to accept delivery, you will be charged additional charges for redelivery. Additional charges may also apply if the items need to delivered up stairs or if the item is unable to be delivered due to space limitations (ie; does not fit through doors. It is up to the customer to notify French and English at time of the purchase if furniture needs assembling at the delivery location.
For regional and interstate deliveries, we require the customer to organise your own carrier. We advise to use reputable, experience furniture carriers. Once the goods have left our warehouse, French and English will not be held responsible for any lost, damaged or delayed deliveries.
 
 
DELIVERY TIMEFRAMES
At the time of purchase you will be advised by French and English of an estimated delivery timeframe. If the item is pre production there may be an extensive waiting period. There may also be time delay for any interstate stock transfers.
 
 
STORAGE
We can store your furniture up to 3 months, providing the items are paid in full. Products not collected or delivered within this agreed time will incur daily storage fees. If the goods remain uncollected for agreed storage period, the customer agrees to waive their rights under the ‘Disposal of Uncollected Goods Act 2011’ and the goods will become the property of French & English.
 
 
ACCURANCY IN INFORMATION & PRODUCTS
We try to be as accurate as possible when describing our products and services online, however, to the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not warrant that the product or service descriptions, colours, images and content available on our site are accurate, complete, reliable, current or error-free.

We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colors of our products that appear on the website. However, due to monitor discrepancies, we cannot guarantee that your display of color will be accurate. 
 
 
RETURN POLICY
It is up to the customer to carefully read our Warranty Terms & Conditions.
You may return the product for an exchange or store credit note providing:
• Original receipt, or proof of purchase is presented
• Product/s are returned within 14 days from date of purchase
• Product/s are in their original condition and packaging
We do not accept any returns or refunds on Floor Sale Stock. It is up to the customer to closely inspect the product before purchasing the item.
 
 
REFUND POLICY
Please choose carefully. A refund will not be offered for ‘Change of Mind’.
A refund will apply if:
• Product/s are identified as faulty
• Product/s do not perform the intended purpose as represented
All ‘Change of Mind’ returns will be offered a Store Credit unless agreed with French & English prior to purchase. An additional 20% restocking fee may also occur. Freight Charges are not refundable.
 
 
STORE CREDIT/GIFT VOUCHERS TIMEFRAMES
The customer has up to 12 months to redeem a store credit or gift voucher. If the balance remains unused within the timeframe, the remaining funds will be forfeited. If you need to extend your timeframe, please notify French & English.
 
 
CANCELLATION FEE
For any reason you decide to cancel an order that has not been delivered, a cancellation fee of 20% may occur.
